The Hôtel de Matignon opens its doors to you on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, with this year's themes being "Heritage of routes, networks and connections" and "Maritime heritage".

Built at the beginning of the 18th century, in the heart of the Faubourg Saint-Germain, the Hôtel de Matignon has been the official workplace of the various successive heads of government since 1935. In addition to very beautiful reception rooms, it also has the largest private garden in the capital, an exceptional plant heritage that received the eco-garden label in 2022.

The European Heritage Days were designed to introduce as many people as possible to the extraordinary wealth of our heritage through unique events, unusual visits, and exceptional openings. These local events now take place in more than 50 countries around the world with free admission in principle to public monuments, and at reduced rates for the vast majority of private establishments participating in the event.
It then reveals the historical heritage of civil or religious monuments, but also agricultural and industrial heritage, and through them the know-how. An annual reference meeting, which became European in 1984.
This year’s theme : “Heritage of routes, networks and connections” and “Maritime heritage”.

Access to the site is only allowed on presentation of the nominative ticket and an original identity document.(no photograph or photocopy)
The ticket is strictly nominative and cannot be used by an unregistered person.
No on-site registration will be possible.

Disabled access
The "Hôtel de Matignon" is accessible to disabled persons. We propose a personalized assistancewith "Action Passeraile" throughout the visit.

Please note
Bulky luggage, objects considered dangerous, helmets, bulky bags and glass bottles are not allowed on the site.
There are no lockers or changing rooms ; there are no park for bicycle, scooter...
The animals are not allowed to come into the site (except guide dogs).
